QBMet participates in an annual Applied Collegiate Exoskeleton (ACE) competition in the United States where we can test our custom exoskeleton. The competition takes place in May against other dedicated teams from the US and Canada. The 2022 event centers around lower limb enhancements geared towards maneuvering firefighters through different terrain. The ACE competition takes place in the Bob and Betty Beyster Building at the University of Michigan’s North Campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan in May 2022. The competition consists of challenges aimed to simulate the physical environments of active firefighters. The exoskeletons are stand-alone devices attached to the individual to enhance their physical motion.
