INTRODUCTION

The lower limb exoskeleton is a knee and hip brace intended to increase the strength and efficiency of an individual’s legs. The project is adjustable to the wearer’s unique proportions and it maneuvers in predictable motions to the constrains of humans. The project combines disciplines of mechanical, software, and electrical engineering to design and construct a functional exoskeleton. The exoskeleton utilizes linear actuators and motion prediction. The lower limb exoskeleton aims to assist firefighters in carrying heavyweight equipment across uneven terrain.
